- high-resolution observations and numerical modeling of the coupling between the solar photosphere, chromosphere, and corona/solar wind
- machine learning techniques aimed at improving diagnostics of solar atmosphere and improving space weather predictions

Candidate's preferred background
PhD in heliophysics, with experience in at least one of the following topics: advanced numerical modeling (radiative MHD or multi-fluid codes); high-resolution observations using imaging, or spectroscopy, or spectropolarimetry; machine learning; irradiance studies.
